Spring 2010
In Spring 2010 the MSRA launched a hardball doubles league to foster competitive doubles play between the clubs in New York.
For the inaugural season, there was one skill level (“B”). Forty players from seven clubs around the city competed.
Teams were co-ed (i.e. any combination of men and/or women) and consisted of four players each.
Team members were paired up based on strength and experience to ensure a competitive league.
League play ran from April to July, with matches on Wednesday and Thursday evenings at four different venues. See Doubles league results here.
The MSRA and CityView thanks all the players who competed in the inaugural season of Doubles League. And a special thanks to the four clubs who hosted us; the participation of CityView, University Club, New York Athletic Club and Brooklyn Heights Casino ensured the launch of the interclub league was a success!
