About New York Squash

What is New York Squash?
New York Squash (formerly known as the Metropolitan Squash Racquets Association) organizes leagues, tournaments and other events for squash players in the New York metropolitan area. Founded in 1924, we are a not-for-profit organization run by volunteers and one part-time paid coordinator. We are also the designated district branch for U.S. Squash, the sport's national governing body.

Mission
NY Squash's mission is to further the development, progress, and establishment of the game of squash in the New York area. NY Squash seeks both to introduce new players to the game, and to inspire current players to excellence, fair play, and healthy competition.

Organizational Objectives
1. New York Squash will actively promote the games of international singles and hardball doubles, and honor the traditions of North American hardball singles.
2. New York Squash will support squash in the five boroughs of New York City, Long Island, southern New York, and Fairfield County.
3. New York Squash will actively promote squash to adult amateur singlesand doubles players of all levels and New York based professional players, with a longer range view to the junior game.
4. New York Squash will hold tournaments, leagues, clinics, round robins, exhibition matches, and social events for its members.

Membership
