Summer Events
Just because summer is here does not mean you need to put down your squash racket. We are rolling out a host of new summer squash events, both social and competitive. Ttake a look below and sign up for some summer fun!

Co-ed Summer Round Robin: Come mix it up in a co-ed group on Tuesday's at StreetSquash's 8-court facility. Squash till you drop (and drinks afterwards) is the plan for Tuesday nights.
Competitive Box League: Ready to put your reputation and ranking on the line in a competitive summer league? Come play on Wednesdays in our new coed, competive box league the CityView Racquet Club.
Co-ed Competitive & Fun Doubles Team League: Curious about doubles but have never gotten a chance to play? Come out 1-2 times per week to the CityView Club to experience the excitement of doubles first hand. Throughout the summer, we will have both round robin days (Monday's) and a team box league (Thursdays).

Each year the MSRA presents awards to members who have demonstrated outstanding performance, sportsmanship, overall improvement, and contribution to the squash community.

Robert Lehman Trophy (for the League's most improved male player): Andrew J Scott
Fernandez Trophy (for the League's most improved female player): Tracy Gates
Wedgewood Trophy (for contribution to women's squash): Marcia Salovitz
Bigelow Award (for outstanding performance in competition): Julian Illingworth
Eddie Standing Trophy (player whose play and demeanor benefits the squash community): Eddie Kapur
Kate Brodsky Award (for sportsmanship and achievement on and off the court by a junior): Julie Cerullo
Michael Rothenberg Award (for effort and sportsmanship by a future star junior): Hakeem Elliot & Fernando Flores

MSRA Welcomes New Board Members
The MSRA is pleased to welcome Andrew James Scott and Brett Erasmus to the Board of Governors. Those of you familiar with the squash leagues will know both Andrew and Brett. Andrew (winner of the 2009 Lehman Trophy for the most improved male player) plays at the Princeton Club and captained his league team to the finals of the 3.5 division. Brett is well known as the driving force for the squash scene at the Printing House. The Board of Governors also voted in Corey Modeste as the new President of the MSRA Board Governors.
